Costs:
Library cards are free to all residents living or owning property within the Yankton city limits. Those residing in Yankton County must pay $20 yearly (per household) for a library card. A non-resident card (those living outside of Yankton County) costs $40 per household annually. County and non-residents can purchase library cards in increments of three months, six months, or 12 months. Cards for teachers, homeschool caregivers, and Mount Marty University students are free.
Identification:
Individuals age 14+ need a photo ID and proof of current address to obtain a library card. Youth (birth through age 13) may have their own card with parent/guardian authorization. Cards renew annually.
