Brian Bertsch was elected to the Yankton City Commission in 2025.  He has previously served the City of Yankton as a member of the Planning Commission, Parks Advisory Board and the Comprehensive Planning Committee.

Brian is a Yankton native and a proud graduate of both Yankton High School and Mount Marty University.  Brian has retired from the sporting goods industry after working for over 40 years in sales and marketing positions.  he is extremely active in the Yankton community serving as president of the board of directors at The Center, a coach of the YHS boys and girls bowling teams, a board member of the Yankton Area Concert Association, and serves on the Mount Marty University Alumni Advisory Board.  Brian and his wife, Linda, have two adult sons.
