Due to construction, Douglas Avenue, between West 33rd Street and Wilson Road, is scheduled to be closed to through traffic on August 17^th, 2026.  Unless there is inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, the contractor, LaCroix Construction & Excavating, will install construction signage and begin operations on this date.

The scope of the project includes installing water and sewer utilities into Chan Gurney Airport.  Although the entire project will take some time to complete, the Douglas Avenue closure should last only 7-10 days.  The completion date for the entire project is October 16, 2026.

The construction signage will provide drivers with advance notification.  For the safety of everyone, please obey the construction signage.  Do not pass by full street-closure barricades.
