The alley, from Riverside Drive to 4th Street, between Green Street and Locust Street, will be under construction starting Monday, August 3rd.  The construction does not extend into the intersecting streets, therefore, Riverside Dr., 3rd Street, and 4th Street will remain open throughout the project.  Unless there is inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, the contractor, Slowey Construction, will install construction signage and begin operations on this date.

As part of the scope of work, the contractor will be removing the existing driving surface and installing a new PCC pavement section.  They will also be replacing the sanitary sewer line from 3rd Street to 4th Street.

Access to the alley will be mostly closed during the construction.  The alley right-of-way is very narrow and will not accommodate local traffic when the contractor is working.  Local residents should plan on utilizing the streets adjacent to their properties when they are not able to access through the alleys. For the safety of everyone, please obey the construction signage.  Do not pass by full alley closure barricades.
