The City of Yankton is making a change to your garbage collection service!

Effective immediately, garbage collected at the curb will be collected using automated trucks. This change will require black roll carts to be placed at the curb with handles and wheels towards the house.

Garbage collection days will remain the same.
Garbage collected in alleys will remain the same.
Recycling collection will not change at this time.

All garbage should be bagged and placed in roll cart with the lid closed.
Bags placed on the curb will not be picked up!

1. Curbside Placement
   • Place your roll cart at the curb by 7:00AM on your collection day
2. Clearance
   • Roll carts must be at least 3 feet away from mailboxes, vehicles, trees, or other obstacles, and at least 3 feet apart from another cart 
3. Roll Cart Direction
   • Place roll carts with handles and wheels facing your house
