Due to construction, Cedar Street from 20^th Street to 21^st Street is scheduled to be closed to traffic on June 29^th, 2026.  Unless there is inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, the contractor, Feimer Construction, will be installing construction signage and beginning operations, on this date.

The work to be completed includes reconstructing the entire street section, as well as replacing a sanitary sewer manhole.  A completely new water main system will be installed within the city right-of-way, as part of the project.  The completion date is October 9, 2026, but it is likely the project will be completed well in advance of the deadline.

The construction signage will provide drivers advanced notification.  For the safety of everyone, please obey the construction signage.  Do not pass through full street-closure barricades.  If at all possible, travelers should find an alternate route to avoid traffic congestion.
