Subject: Family Storytime with Suzi and Chino the Therapy Dog
The Yankton Community Library will be hosting a family storytime on Monday, March 9th at 6 pm. Suzi Scholtz, formerly of Yankton, will visit with her TDI therapy dog Chino. Chino is an Afghan Hound and a successful show dog. He is very calm and friendly. This event is for families with children of all ages. Everyone is invited to participate.
Suzi and Chino are both enjoying retirement from their various jobs and enjoy visiting and talking about dogs and the wonderful support they can be to people. Join us for some dog-centered stories and learn more about Chino and the service he provides.
The library also provides early literacy storytimes for young children on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10 am. Storytimes include music, stories, and a simple craft. Themes change weekly but Wednesday and Thursday programs are the same.
The library also provides time for play and interaction at Stay & Play each week on Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 am. Come learn, grow, and play with us! Join us for a special Saturday Stay & Play on March 28th from 9 am to 4 pm.
