City of Yankton - Solid Waste
The Solid Waste section exists to provide residential solid waste and recycling pick-up for the City of Yankton for approximately 4000 residential locations. Residential customers, on the City collection route, are offered an “April Spring Clean-up Event” each year. This clean-up week provides the residents an opportunity, with no additional charge, to dispose of debris and yard waste. Normally, 450 tons of waste is collected and disposed of by City Street and Solid Waste crews during this annual event.
