Memorial Pool is located at the intersection of 19th & Douglas.

When it comes to swimming and water activities, the Memorial Park Pool is Olympic-size and has two three-meter high dive spring boards, two one-meter spring boards, a small water slide for little children in the shallow area, and a small water slide for older children and adults in the intermediate area. The pool is home to open-swims, swim team practices and meets, Red Cross Swim Lessons, family nights and other special events. The pool water is heated and maintained at approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool will not open if the air temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit by 12:00 p.m.

Located directly south of the main pool is a circular wading pool that is open during normal open swim times and is free to the public. The wading pool is one-half to two feet deep. The water in this pool is also maintained at approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of their children while using the wading pool because there is not a lifeguard stationed in this pool. Both pools have access to the concession stand which is operated by the City of Yankton.

The pool will open at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2011 and close for the season on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Listed below are the summer hours, rates for Memorial Pool, and pool pass information. In additional the second annual Pooch Plunge will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a cost of $5 per dog.
