Water Treatment Plant Project

Yankton’s water facility improvement projects have been more than a decade in progress.  Recent completion of the collector well puts Yankton in a good position moving forward with a reliable source for water supply.

The recent award of the water purification project contract to John T. Jones to complete the improvements will increase Yankton’s capacity of producing treated water from 8 million gallons of water per day to over 10 million gallons of water today.  Yankton’s new facility will use state of the art membrane technology to filter impurities from the water.

This page will be updated regularly with updates about the project and other public information.

Below are links to view the Powerpoint presentation about the proposed water treatment plant improvements. Additional materials will be added to this page to help answer questions and provide information about the proposed project to the public.
