Fantle Memorial Park Pool

summer_recreation2Fantle Memorial Park Pool, 2020 Douglas Avenue, 605-260-2005, is located at the intersection of 21st Street & Douglas.

Olympic-size with two three-meter high dive spring boards, two one-meter spring boards, a small water slide for little children in the shallow area, and a small water slide for older children in the intermediate area. The pool hosts open-swims, swim team practices and meets, Red Cross Swim Lessons, family nights and teen nights. The water is heated and maintained at approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool will not open if the air temperature is below 65 degrees Fahrenheit by 12:00 p.m.

South of the main pool is a circular wading pool that is open during normal open swim times and has free admittance. The wading pool is six inches deep around the outer edge and is two feet deep in the middle. The water in this pool is also maintained at approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of their children while using the wading pool because there is no lifeguard stationed at this pool.

Both pools and park users have access to the City operated concession stand which is located on the outside of the main pool building.

  • Individuals: $50.00 (w / SAC Discount - $40.00)

Summer Pool Pass

The City of Yankton offers a summer season pool pass that includes admission to both the Summit Activities Center Pool and the Fantle Memorial Park Pool only during scheduled open-swim times. Passes are valid from May 1 - August 31.
