Children's Activities

Story Times

Our Story Time is open to children birth-preschool with an adult caregiver. The 30-45 minute sessions include stories, rhymes, finger plays, music, and movement. Afterward, there is an art/craft activity geared toward preschool-aged participants. Story Times typically occur weekly on Monday nights at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. After Story Time, feel free to stick around for some free play with our sensory toys!

Stay & Play

Stay and Play for preschool –aged children and under is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. We will provide materials for exploration and learning through play for children and their caregivers to enjoy together. This is a great opportunity for children and parents alike to meet and visit with other families! The links below will provide information regarding the importance of play and the role play serves in development learning.

Teen Activities

Teen Advisory Board

Teens and ‘tweens in grades 6-12 are invited to join the library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB). This group meets monthly to plan events for teens at the library. Interested individuals can pick up a TAB application form at the circulation desk.

Teen Events

Throughout the school year, events for students in grades 6-12 are generally held one Saturday a month from 3-4 p.m. Twice a year there are special after-hours events for teens.

These events are open to all teens, not just teens on the Teen Advisory Board. In the past we’ve had holiday parties, trivia, birdfeeder building, robotics projects, and more!

During the summer months, events for students are held on Mondays at 2 p.m. For more details on these activities, please check our calendar.
