COVID-19 Response

The Yankton Community Library is currently open with moderate restrictions as defined by Phase 2 of the City of Yankton Facilities and Services Plan.  Phase 2 is active case numbers <50 in the county, downward or flat trend in COVID-19 active cases and a doubling rate of 5 days or higher.  This status is also affected by facility risk factors, staffing and or the availability of personal protective equipment.
The Library is currently operating at a limited Phase 2. The entry doors are locked and business is being conducted via technology, no-contact curbside pickup or by scheduled appointments.

  • Virtual story times and programs via Facebook
  • Registration for Summer Reading Program now open.  Virtual programming and summer packets available for pick up beginning June 1st. 
  • Limited appointments for use of computers, copier, fax or microfilm machines, test proctoring and browsing and checking out items. Call 605-668-5275 to schedule.
