Board of City Commissioners - City Election
The April 12, 2011 election is for three of the nine City Commission seats. City Commissioners are elected for a three year term. Deadline for voter registration for the municipal election is March 28, 2011. The polls will be open on election day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Absentee voting begins March 28, 2011 and ballots may be cast at City Hall 416 Walnut Street from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
To vote, you must either:
- Present a photo ID, or if not able to do so,
- Sign an affidavit which will be given to you.
- A SD driver license or nondriver ID card; or
- A US government photo ID; or
- A tribal photo ID; or
- A photo ID from a SD high school or SD Accredited institution of higher education.
