In August of 2009, 1200 Surveys were distributed to a random sample of Yankton households. This marked the first year of a process that will be used to monitor trends over time in respect to satisfaction levels with municipal services. This is a valuable process as the survey allows us to connect with the Yankton community in order to monitor these trends. The survey is, of course, only one aspect of gauging the success of municipal operations. It does, however, it provide the foundation for monitoring satisfaction over time.

Of the surveys that were distributed, over 50% were returned by the postmarked deadline. Please follow the link to view the slides of the power-point presentation that was given at the City Commission meeting on October 12th. The slides present the satisfaction levels for each of the questions that was asked on the survey instrument. We look forward to conducting the survey on an annual basis to monitor any respective changes in these satisfaction levels.
