SANITATION / TRUCK OPERATOR
The City of Yankton is currently accepting applications for the position of
Sanitation / Truck Operator in the Solid Waste Division of the Department of Public Services.
An employee in this position is responsible for the efficient performance of tasks requiring the use of acquired knowledge in the handling of waste containers and the care of City equipment. Work involves loading of refuse into packer truck, picking debris, separating recycling materials, and occasionally operates garbage or recycling truck. Regularly scheduled to work at Transfer Station on Saturday on a rotating schedule. During the summer months, this person may fill in on the Street crew on an as needed basis.
Candidates must possess a valid South Dakota commercial drivers license, Class B, or be able to obtain same within 30 days following appointment. Background experience in sanitation or maintenance work desirable and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
This is a regular full-time position. The starting salary for this position is $28,745 (Range 25) per year, plus fringe benefits.

LIBRARY CIRCULATION ASSISTANT
The City of Yankton is currently accepting applications for a Circulation Assistant in the Yankton Community Library.
The Circulation Assistant is responsible for checking materials in and out, answering the phone, answering all types of patron questions, and assisting with computers. This person will work 28 hours per week, part-time with some night and weekend hours. Flexible scheduling may be arranged.
This part-time position is long term and requires high school graduation or equivalent. Positive customer service skills, multi-tasking abilities, typing and computer skills are essential. Experience with Microsoft software (Office, Word, Excel) and electronic databases is highly desirable. Previous library work and/or SDLN experience is desirable.
The starting wage for this position is $7.25 per hour. This position is not entitled to benefits.

Receptionist
The City of Yankton is currently accepting applications for a receptionist in the Department of Parks and Recreation at the Summit Activities Center.
This position is responsible for multi-tasking of greeting participants, registration of all individuals who utilize the facilities, and other clerical duties which requires computer knowledge.
The days and hours for this position are Tuesday through Friday Noon to 9:00 pm and Saturday 7:30am to 4:30pm during SAC summer hours. Tuesday through Friday 10:30am to 7:30 pm and Saturday 7:30am to 4:30pm during SAC winter hours.
This is a regular full-time position. The starting salary for this position is Range 12, $20,852.
