The City of Yankton has received enough snow that a snow emergency will be going into effect.  Plowing will begin at 5:00 a.m. February 24th.  

A snow emergency will go into effect at 12:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2017.  The Department of Public Works will begin plowing streets at 5:00 AM Friday Friday, February 24, 2017.  The City asks for your cooperation to please have your vehicles removed from city streets by this time. Vehicles left on Emergency Snow Routes will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

YHS-SAC Spring Workout

YHS-SAC Spring Workout

The City of Yankton's Recreation Department, along with YHS Strength Coach Dan Mitchell, are offering a twelve-week session of Spring Workout at the Summit Activities Center for participants currently in grades 9-12 at Yankton High School.  The spring strength and conditioning program will begin on Monday, February 13 at 3:45 p.m.  The program will meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 3:45 p.m. through May 5.  Spring Workout participants will test out on Monday, May 8. Cost for the program is $20 plus tax.
